REMASTER OF GRAVE NEW WORLD - PART ONE SOON TO BE RELEASED
<< Pre-orders now at a special price >>
On the 9th of december 2022 the first part of 'Grave New World' will be re-released in an up-to-date remastered version on CD. For the new mastering Huxley Would Approve could win sound master Jens Lück from Hamburg (Isgaard, Eloy, Sylvan, Single Celled Organism and many more). And this remaster has it all. The already impressive facets of the art-prog work now sound even more concise and lively. Overall, a clear enrichment for the first work of the German-Canadian prog rockers Huxley Would Approve, which was first released in 2016 and has since been out of print.

Huxley Would Approve – Grave New World - Part Two

RATING: 5 out of 5 (excellent)

HUXLEY WOULD APPROVE is the association between Rainer SCHNEIDER multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, singer among others of the cover group Floyd-cover band and Joe BOLIEIRO lyricist, conceptual ideas and art work. The association started in 2015. 5 years on to give a sequel to the fans of PINK FLOYD with an outpouring on CAMEL, BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST, ALAN PARSONS, can be GENESIS, HACKETT or the dark KING CRIMSON, closer to the PORCUPINE TREE obviously; here a note of hope, opening to counter the dark and very beautiful Part 1, to evolve the narcissistic side of WATERS and tender with HUXLEY to let appear and merge their emotions of the moment. Concept, group, project, let's go:

“Blue Morpho Part Three - Eureka Moment” is an energetic instrumental with cathedral organ, rhythm guitar, fresh, new, playful sound; there is Yes, ELP, an air to the “Apache”, finally a remarkable intro to the fruity and invigorating DREAM THEATER. "Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier" and the first title, immediate resemblance of the Floyd period Waters with the characteristic voices of Judith and Rainer, swaying rhythm; it even grooves, the bass well forward, the synth which arrives sublime, simple and beautiful and the guitar solos which become encrusted, more metallic again; it becomes syncopated then conventional, there is less sadness, more hope but a lot of aggression too; a great moment until the door squeak and the clock! "Shadow Work" where Werner's GILMOUR-style guitar gives light and shade to the melody, you combine it all with excellent synth interventions and you get an excellent instrumental track that maintains a high level of interest; one of the most vibrant in my opinion, cover up before the storm because “Darkness (Reprise)”, featured on the first album comes to give you a shot of FLOYD by memory-interposed sequence like opening of the court! "Leaden Wings" connects and prolongs the soaring atmosphere; classic conventional title I would say, a more synthetic climb that starts with Mc KENNITT, CAMEL, PINK FLOYD again with a solo to melt, ALAN PARSONS for the final melody too.

“Looking For A Miracle” starts off with a recognizable acoustic track, depressive with all the gaiety that it can provide, choruses and vocals of Judith hover, it is atmospheric and it is magnified by the musical take-off of the guitar passing another dimension; sublime title until the final progressive sound effect at will, but let's pick up otherwise "Delta Girl" will arrive sounding like an acoustic Floydian folk alliance with Sebastian's guitar; many voices sounding like Waters, warm choruses taking everything up there for a sweet romantic ballad; it's simple, it's remembering and reviewing sequence; the heartbeat sound makes you plunge into “Time” before “Blue Morpho - Part Four” comes to end the album with one if not the best track, frantic rhythm, tempered air, melodic pop rock filled with interesting sounds; the instrumental is borderline nervous even strumming up to the progressive hard themes; paf the latent digression occurs suddenly with the divine piano of Olaf which makes one go one last time on PINK FLOYD, TANGERINE DREAM period 'Stratosfear' then it starts on POPOL VUH and there I melt, emotional and intimate melody to its climax to imagine this better world.

HUXLEY WOULD APPROVE hit hard, really hard; they merged the sounds of the before and the now for a note of hope, that humanity can change by accepting its individual dark sides and by accepting the light, we can still believe it! An album which feels the repeat from afar by the themes used, an album which is full of different sounds of dinosaurs as a testament of what they were able to bring to the world; a subtle, fine album, oozing reminiscences, adapted to dive into your own memories, a real medicine to enter the best of all worlds, simply great art.

NEW HUXLEY FEATURE IN THE NEW ECLIPSED MAG

In the May issue of the German rock and prog magazine 'Eclipsed' there is a new article about Huxley Would Approve and their new album 'Grave New World - Part Two'. You can read it here (English translation below).

Don't forget to read the current issue in full. At the kiosk or to order at www.eclipsed.de

English translation:

The future is a butterfly

Huxley Would Approve lead us on 'Grave New World - Part Two' into the light

In 2016 Rainer Schneider, singer of Pink Floyd Tribute band 'The Final Cut' and multi-instrumentalist, and Canadian lyricist Joe Bolieiro released their concept album "Grave New World - Part One". Now the sequel "Part Two" has beeing released as well. The work is as exciting as it is demanding, the Floyd /Roger Waters kit for atmospheric concept albumsit are beeing used - but not only - and also topics of writer Aldous Huxley and the Swiss psychologist Carl Gustaf Jung.

Bolieiro tries to sum it up: "The seed of the concept was the lyrics of the song 'Wish You Were Here ', which I interpreted as' Wish (I) Were Here' because I fear technology keeps us more and more away from true human connections. This cybernetic alienation leads us to Huxley's famous dystopia 'Brave New World '. Jung concepts like the repressed 'shadow' and unconscious feminine nature - 'anima' - are introduced to protect our narcissistic-messianic protagonists to participate in this possible next evolutionary step.

In the in the second part he actually finds the light in his dark side that understands and shadows with the help of its anima accepted. "And Schneider adds poetically:" A transformation into a beautiful blue morpho butterfly. Nature and Humans will ultimately win. Everything will be fine!"

One possible holistic healing that gives hope. But there are dangers in every future development of mankind lurking are reflected not least in the cover artwork. Bolieiro: "The mechanical butterfly represents our possible future in the form of merging with machines. "

Musically, in addition to highly atmospheric Floyd soundscape ferences, once again there was put a noticeable shovel on top and the music acts independently of the overpowering role model Pink Floyd / Roger Waters. Horror motifs, harder moments and more progressive Genesis sound are added.

Schneider is euphoric: "By having the emotions of the protagonist change extremely in the second part, also suited me a lot more expression options available. experimenting with harmonies, melodies and layered song structure great was great fun."

A whole new story is possible for the next album, right now however, Huxley Would Approve want to work on a live interpretation of "Grave New World ".

BUT:
Soon we will release a new song for download on the website and on Facebook, so you can get a taste of what awaits you in 2018.

All the best!
